Property Assessed Clean Energy (PACE) Loans

PACE loans provide financing for energy efficiency home improvements. Homeowners can finance improvements by adding the PACE loan to their tax bill, which becomes a lien on their home. In states where residential PACE programs operate, increasing numbers of homeowners have had problems due to fraud, unscrupulous contractors, and unsustainable loans.
