On behalf of the clients and communities we represent, we urge the Government Sponsored Enterprises (GSEs) to amend the COVID-19 payment deferral and Flex Modification for COVID-19 impacted borrowers to allow deferral and capitalization of escrow shortages. We appreciate that the GSEs have provided comprehensive forbearance and post-forbearance options for borrowers who have suffered a COVID-19 hardship.
