Caroline Cohn is a staff attorney. Her work focuses on issues at the intersection of consumer protection and the criminal legal system, including criminal justice debt, criminal background reporting, and predatory profiteering by private companies operating in the criminal legal system. Previously, Caroline was an Equal Justice Works Fellow at NCLC, sponsored by Nike, Inc. Before joining NCLC, she served as a law clerk to the Honorable Judge Carolyn McHugh of the Tenth Circuit Court of Appeals and to the Honorable Judge Carol B. Amon of the U.S. District Court for Eastern District of New York. Caroline holds a B.A. from the University of Pennsylvania and a J.D. from Stanford Law School. She is admitted to practice law in Massachusetts and New York.
