January 25, 2022

Watch Recording

In late 2021, the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB) deployed new debt collection regulations featuring new and harmful ways that debt collectors can contact consumers. For example, collectors can place up to seven attempted phone calls per week—per debt!—either to the consumer or to friends and family to ask for the consumer’s contact information. These amendments to debt collection regulations will impact at least 68 million consumers in the United States. This webinar discusses debt in America and the impact of the new CFPB regulations.
