Carol J. Kenner has been "of counsel" to NCLC since 2010. She served as a judge on the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of Massachusetts for 18 years; she served as Chief Judge of the Court from 1994-1998. She also served on the U.S. Bankruptcy Appellate for the First Circuit, including a year as Chief Judge. Judge Kenner served as a Special Assistant Attorney General in Massachusetts for three years and as an adjunct faculty member at Suffolk University Law School for six years. She has testified before the U.S. House and U.S. Senate and lectured widely on bankruptcy, consumer credit, corporate and personal finance and debt at law schools, Bar associations and other professional organizations. She initiated a program for high school students on financial literacy. She is a one of the founding members of the Womens Bar Association.
