NCLC has received generous funding to share our consumer law expertise with legal services attorneys, private attorneys and advocacy organizations representing low-income and elderly Washington clients. We are pleased to offer the following services:
NCLC offers a wide range of free case consulting services to attorneys representing low-income or elderly clients on debt collection, foreclosure, repossession, bankruptcy, utility termination and related issues.
NCLC is interested in submitting amicus briefs in appellate level cases that have broad importance beyond the effect on the individual litigants. Please let us know if you are involved in a case where an amicus brief from NCLC may be appropriate.
Legal services organizations in Washington are eligible for special discounts on NCLC’s 18-title Consumer Law Practice Series. Call (617) 542-9595 for details.
NCLC can provide consumer law training for legal services programs, pro bono programs, and other advocates who help low-income consumers. In addition, Washington attorneys can apply for partial scholarships to attend NCLC’s annual Consumer Rights Litigation Conference, November 11-14, 2010 in Boston, and the Fair Debt Collection Training Conference in early 2011.
This initiative for Washington consumers was made possible by Michael D. Kinkley, P.S. We are grateful for this support.
