The National Consumer Law Center (NCLC) is pleased to announce the availability
of a new handbook it has prepared just for public assistance recipients in New
York. This handbook fully explains the rights and responsibility of recipients
under the Electronic Benefit Transfer System (EBT) used to deliver food stamps
and cash assistance benefits. Topic in the Handbook includes rights to account
information, rights to access benefits, and keeping safe when using a Benefit
Card.
The first 20 copies of the New York EBT Handbook are free to
non-profit organizations assisting public assistance in New York. For other
organizations or individuals and for additional copies, the cost will be $50.00
for 20 copies. Please send the quantity indicated below. Enclosed is an order
