NCLC Credit Code Archive

The National Consumer Act and the Model Consumer Credit Code were drafted by the National Consumer Law Center in 1969 and 1973 respectively.  They are available here as an aid to construing state legislation that was based upon their provisions.  They are no longer considered appropriate for introduction as legislation, their original purpose, because they have not been revised in consideration of developments in the intervening decades.
