Each year NCLC hosts the Consumer Rights Litigation Conference (CRLC) and the Fair Debt Collection Training Conference. The CRLC is the premier gathering of attorneys and advocates representing consumers. It provides advocates with cutting edge law; the latest strategies from leading experts; valuable insight on trends, tactics, and techniques; and networking events with colleagues who share an interest in consumer justice.
The Fair Debt Collection Training Conference offers a great way to learn about the laws protecting consumers from abusive debt collection practices and proceed to more in-depth sessions on developing fair debt collection cases and a fair debt collection law practice.
In June 2014 NCLC sponsored the Summer Mortgage Conference: Handling Mortgage Servicing Cases under the New CFPB Regulations. This workshop will provide an in-depth review of the privately enforceable mortgage servicing regulations under RESPA and TILA that went into effect on January 10, 2014.
