Conferences & Training
NCLC conducts webinars, advocacy conferences and in-person trainings for legal aid and private attorneys, lay advocates, and community-based organizations representing low-income clients. Our trainings, webinars, and conferences reach thousands of advocates each year. The trainings range on a variety of topics from foreclosure prevention, bankruptcy, utility rights, student loans, auto fraud, debt collection, etc. For more information about our training program and to learn about upcoming trainings and how to request a training in your area please click on the "Upcoming Local and Regional Trainings" on the left.
Each year NCLC hosts the Consumer Rights Litigation Conference (CRLC) and the Fair Debt Collection Training Conference. The CRLC is the premier gathering of attorneys and advocates representing consumers. It provides advocates with cutting edge law, the latest strategies from leading experts, valuable insight on trends, tactics, and techniques as well as networking events with colleagues who share an interest in consumer justice.
The Fair Debt Collection Training Conference offers a great way to learn about the laws protecting consumers from abusive debt collection practices and proceed to more in-depth sessions on developing fair debt collection cases and a fair debt collection law practice.
