Tucson: A favorite travel destination with its postcard image of cactus forests, rolling hills, and craggy mountains, its thriving arts community, major league spring training, its spas and golf. Tucson lies in the borderland, a region that blends the cultures of the United States and Mexico, and has a long history of settlement by ancient Native American peoples, Spanish explorers, and Anglo frontiersmen. The weather is mild nearly all the time, just right for all kinds of fun activities. Go to http://www.visittucson.org/ for more information.
Baseball fans: Plan on coming a day early or staying over and seeing one of the Cactus league games in southern Arizona. Rockies at White Sox March 22 and Royals at White Sox on March 26 in Tuscon. Other games on those dates in Phoenix area. Go to www.cactusleague.com for more information and tickets.
